Survey & Consultancy
The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has issued guidelines to make the process of recycling ships and their waste materials as straightforward and as safe as possible. To this end, we use the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM). The objective is to ensure that hazardous materials are dealt with safely during all of the ship’s life-cycle phases, from construction to operation and scrapping.
All industrial objects, ships and offshore platforms are required to have an asbestos risk assessment. If risks are present owners/tenants need to have an asbestos risk management plan with implemented steps and procedures to reduce or remove these risks. This plan has to be reviewed and evaluated over time.
